Let's ride the tide and set sail once again! China National Heavy Duty Truck Group exported 15,000 heavy-duty trucks in a single month, once again setting a new industry record

100 heavy-duty trucks from China National Heavy Duty Truck Group are neatly lined up at Yantai Port, about to be shipped to Saudi Arabia. With this batch of vehicles heading overseas, the Group's heavy-duty truck exports reached 15,000 in September, breaking its own record once again and setting a new monthly export record for the domestic heavy-duty truck industry.

Since it began expanding overseas in 2004, the Group has consistently held the top position in the domestic heavy-duty truck industry's exports. In its 21st year of going global, it has once again delivered a brilliant new report card. At the 2025 Global Partner Conference held on October 18, the Group announced a set of figures:

From January to September, the Group achieved total revenue of USD 22.89 billion, up 14.9% year-on-year, and total vehicle sales of 335,000 units, up 22.8% year-on-year. Of these, heavy truck exports reached 111,000 units, up 24.5% year-on-year. Today, the Group's products are sold across six continents and in more than 150 countries and regions, with over 1 million vehicles in operation worldwide.

What keeps the Group at the forefront, constantly making waves one after another? You can find the answer in this latest report card.

The "steadiness" of steering against the wind

The ship has sailed thousands of miles through surging tides.

In recent years, the international competitive landscape has been restructuring at an accelerating pace, with tariff, technology, and environmental barriers rising ever higher. As more and more automakers expand overseas, domestic problems such as low-price competition and excessive homogenization are becoming increasingly prominent. How to control risks, maintain competitiveness, and achieve sustainable profits is the defining question that pioneers and leaders like the Group must always confront.

Take Vietnam as an example. Vietnam is currently in a period of rapid urbanization and large-scale infrastructure development, with huge rigid demand for trucks. To date, the Group has established 35 joint maintenance and service stations in Vietnam, and its sales and after-sales service network now achieves full national coverage. With the support of a mature network, in September the Group (CNHTC) partnered with Vietnamese distributors to hold a touring exhibition across six major cities in Vietnam. Thanks to excellent product quality and a long-standing reputation, it ultimately secured more than 800 orders. By 2030, the Group plans to expand its overseas sales channels to 400, providing more convenient services to global customers.

Different countries have their own customs and traditions, and "failure to adapt to local conditions" is the most common problem for enterprises going abroad. The Group's response is to push "localization" to the extreme, continuously extending its service chain to provide customers with full-lifecycle solutions. When cooperating with a Vietnamese partner under Vietnam's extreme weather conditions, the Group not only ensured delivery but also organized training for local maintenance and driving personnel, effectively ensuring the stable operation of vehicles in the future.

With the growing global vehicle population and evolving consumer attitudes, the aftermarket is showing tremendous development potential. The Group attaches great importance to aftermarket development and has systematically launched businesses such as vehicle financing, fleet management, and used-vehicle trade-in and repurchase. From January to September this year, its aftermarket parts sales revenue increased by 59% year-on-year. At this year's Global Partner Conference, the Group (Sinotruk) launched customized oil, tires, and other accessory products for the global market for the first time. In the future, it will also build 63 accessory central warehouses overseas and pre-position accessories worth USD 50 million, rolling out more precise and flexible service and accessory policies for global customers.

To be "steady" in going global, a company must not only "win orders at the front end" but also "provide solid support at the back end."

The Laiwu plant of the Group is a hive of activity. It received a notification that an African customer urgently needs vehicles for the autumn production season, with a very tight delivery schedule. Upon receiving the task from the sales side, the factory responded immediately: production lines worked overtime, and the vehicle dispatch department worked around the clock to ship, honoring its commitments to customers with "heavy truck speed." This is the rapid-response mechanism of sales-production linkage that the Group has established for its customers.

The Group currently has 10 major vehicle production bases in China, with a maximum monthly capacity of 30,000 heavy-duty trucks. Building smart factories is a key reason behind the increase in capacity. Take the Laiwu plant as an example: it has China's first AGV flexible assembly line and a Dürr coating line comparable to those of high-end passenger cars, and has also built a fully automated "lights-out factory" for cab welding. In the future, the Group plans to build more lean, intelligent, and green "lighthouse factories" to raise the automation rate of key processes to over 60%.

Today, international orders account for the majority of the Laiwu plant's output. With the recovery of demand, the booming domestic market has also added confidence to the Group's overseas expansion. During the recent Double Festival holiday, the Group accumulated more than 6,700 domestic orders. The two markets support and reinforce each other, forming a virtuous cycle as the Group advances on two legs — domestic and international.
